Since I was around nine, I have kept some type of diary. I got the idea after reading “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.” Even though there wasn’t a diary in the story, I felt that it could be my own way to write my inner feelings down.  In all the diaries I have kept, I have written all the wonderful and painful experiences in my life. In 2001, I discovered blogging. Since then, I have always had a blog. People sometimes ask me how I can write such private thoughts where everyone can see. I respond that these are not my most private, deepest thoughts because those I reserve for my own personal diary.  However, it is sometimes wonderful to talk to people who are not part of you life, who have been where you are. I still have my most recent Blogger blog, and I skimmed through it just now. Wow, I have grown so much, both as a person and Writer.

Ever wonder why people don't seem that excited when you accomplish something you've been working so hard for?  I'm not one to be in the "in" crowd.  So I honestly don't know what it would be like to have a group of people people cheer me on.  It's easier to become discouraged, but maybe it's not necessarily a bad thing.  I don't have to worry about looking or hoping for approval and therefore, don't have to meet their expectations.

Dream stealers are generally jealous and envious.  They are toxic people.  Inwardly, they "gloat" and are happy over your misfortune.  They are not your friends, although they may pretend to be. In reality they are backstabbers and like lions watching their prey, are waiting for just the right moment to take you down.   I have had plenty of these toxic people in my life and because I'm a sensitive person, I'm tempted to believe they are right in their judgment of me or lack of faith in my dreams.

The truth is, most people don't want to see you succeed big time anyway.
They are afraid you'll get too far ahead of them. 
They're afraid your success will show their lack of effort for what it is.

Everyday I have to tell myself - Don't give up!  Keep going!  Inch by Inch you'll make it!

I really believe the only way to lose is to stop trying.  Every day is a new day, a fresh start.  Every day I get to start over.  Even if others who have judged me, pushed me down, stabbed me in the back, don't believe I deserve it, etc., I say - It's a brand new day and I choose to keep going!
